Gene Regulation Research Laboratory (Bessho Lab in Bio) celebrated its 20th anniversary

On March 14th, former and current lab members of the Gene Regulation Research Laboratory (Prof. Yasumasa Bessho) got together to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the lab which was established in July 2004. Many former staff and alumni members of Molecular Neuroscience Laboratory (Prof. Kinichi Nakashima), which was established around the same time and shared the laboratory space for many years, also came together making the reunion a total of 60 participants.
The event was in a harmonious atmosphere with everybody feeling happy to be an extended member of the laboratory. Lively and animated episodes were exchanged everywhere during the gathering, from silly but fun episodes of lab trips to serious discussions about recent updates and current research participants had been engaged in. Recruitment activities of junior members also took place. Everybody spent a meaningful time and the event further deepened the connections among NAIST alumni community. The reunion was concluded with a warm message from Professor Bessho wishing all the best for all participants.
